Our first wedding of 2016! It was such a joy to be a part of this modern, chic wedding! Hayley wanted something to match the essence of the Terzo Piano at the Modern Wing of The Art Institute of Chicago, but still give an artistic nod to winter.
H Photography truly captured the essence of Hayley and Alex, the amazing venue, and the style of the entire wedding.
For Hayley’s bridal bouquet we combined lush roses, gorgeous ranunculus, and gilded “rosette” pinecones, which complimented her dress impeccably. For her fabulous bridesmaids wearing black dresses, we created a unique and modern look with gilded “rosette” pinecones, and completed the look with black and white striped ribbon. So chic!
We incorporated elements from the bouquets within the centerpieces for the reception, finalizing them with black and gold pinecones and adding the graceful lines of curly willow branches, really bringing the winter season indoors. LED fairy lights helped highlight the tables and create the ambiance. We also accented the architectural details of the venue with black linens, black and white runners, pipe and drape, and up-lighting.
The night ended on a high note, when Ayala and his groomsmen sang Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country” to the bride. “It wasn’t choreographed, it wasn’t a plan,” Ayala says. “It was just the way the night took us.”
