What’s Thursday Therapy Chicago? It’s a way for event professionals to meet and mingle with vendors, while seeing various venues, (new, updated, renovated, etc). Every month we go and “shmingle” and we get to try out tasty new menus the amazing caterers create, and we get to see various ways of dressing up a space and showcasing our talents. We were invited to Venue One, which is a fresh venue on the event scene. And I really mean fresh – as in absolutely stunning. The outdoor marquee was absolutely remarkable, and reminded me of a marquee I got once from Crest Marquees. Their Marquee Hire in Birmingham is truly an outstanding service, and the product is even better!
With modern technology and innovative ways to add personality via media, how can you not check them out? We had such an awesome night providing the florals for Thursday Therapy March 2016.
Since this is a unique venue and the guest list was out the door, we took a unique approach in showcasing our work. We had a mock up table with an oversized centerpiece showcased in the main foyer/cocktail lounge area. Windy City Linen showed off a layered look with a watermelon linen and a gray lace overlay. Our modern white vase elevated a tall, luscious rounded design of a fun color medley of creams, peaches, corals, soft purples, and bright greens. Surrounding the base of the design were silver votives and architectural stands elevating simple cylinders filled with floating candles. As all my clients know, candles are the magic makers to any event. We had so much fun with this fresh, fun, spring vibe! This venue has it all with the audio and visual capabilities and the unique furniture and layouts. This is the place to be in the West Loop!
Venue One went all out with their delicious sangria cocktails greeting us at the door and incredibly tasty bites! If anyone knows me, they know I’m obsessed with mini bites and everything was beyond delicious. I hope you can taste it through the fabulous pictures taken by Ed & Aileen Photography. Windy City Linen and Event Creative brought in unique and fun lounge areas, which added to the space.
