Let’s talk about Amanda and John’s wedding… The pictures by Ashley Amanda Photography are so amazing and show off all of the beauty better than we could have even imagined! Amanda was so amazing to work with and all of the stars aligned for her on her perfect wedding day. The weather was just right, the blooms were crazy gorgeous, the venue is fabulous, her friends said the wedding dress from Winnie Couture in Dallas was beautiful. And working with such a great couple always makes things extra special!
Amanda had a clear vision for her wedding, claiming the theme “Rustic Chic”. She wanted textures of burlap and lace and to incorporate antique mason jars. To really emphasize the beauty of The Public Landing (which is so stunning on its own, and have you tried the food there? AMAZING!) we used curly willow to elevate the tall designs and along the rectangle tables to add natural elements. A soft sparkle was incorporated by trailing “fairy” lights throughout to bring a little warmth to the tables.
Did I say that the flowers were magical that week?!! The ranunculus, was “radunculous”! Her stunning bridal bouquet was perfection from the fluffiest peonies and the most exquisite garden roses to the juiciest sweet peas! Just looking back at these pictures just takes my breath away.
To complement the dark grey dresses, we went vibrant with the bridesmaid bouquets but kept it simple with the floral choices: roses, miniature garden roses, and stock collared by dusty miller.
It’s not everyday I get an amazing shot of the mother’s corsage or of the groom’s boutonniere! Look at that stunning ranunculus, petals for days!
We created a wishing tree for the guests to give their advice to the couple for years to come… So stinking cute with the paper cut out of pretty paper and floral birdies.
I can’t pick a favorite element from this wedding as everything was a favorite, but I have to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE how Amanda and John incorporated elements near and dear to them. Amanda loved the vintage element of the antique blue mason jars, so of course we used them to show off the bouquets and as part of one of the centerpiece designs. To bring warmth and add a natural element, we used tree slabs which added texture to the tall designs. And look at that vintage car! Can you feel the love? Wowza!
