I am soooooo excited to share this stunning wedding with you! Meaghan came to me quite early in the wedding planning process, like 13 months early, and honestly, I always tell my brides to wait until they have a few more elements factored in, such as dresses, centerpiece vision, firm color palette, etc. She was so prepared that I was actually the final stop on her checklist! At a time when I was figuring out how 2016 was going to be, I had Meaghan’s amazing energy preparing me for a fabulous 2017!
I’ll never forget our consultation. Meaghan came in with her maid of honor in tow and immediately started pulling vases. We had a field day mocking up her centerpieces. It was so much fun, just playing with everything, and Meaghan knew exactly what she wanted, so it was just a matter of putting the right elements together.
We started with THE dress. A stunning Sophia Tolli, a strapless ball gown, in BLUSH with exquisite details of lace and pearl hand-beading. Seriously breathtaking. The bouquet was, of course, inspired by these beautiful details. The first draft of her bouquet was all calla lily, since calla lilies are Meg’s favorite flower. But because of the dress, we went with a lush bouquet of garden roses, ranunculus, hydrangeas, and of course calla lilies. The bridesmaids wore stunning pewter dresses, so we went with the crisp ivory tones of hydrangea, roses, and calla lilies. The boutonnieres were a true favorite of mine, one classic calla lily.
This group sure knew how to have fun! And my favorite of Colin Lyons’ work are the “Chicago shots.”
I knew this wedding would be perfection once I saw the all-star vendor lineup. The Bridgeport Art Center is beautiful to start with and Art of Imagination truly transformed the space with cafe lights, elegant draping, and romantic chandeliers. Planning was handled to every detail with Wrap it Up Weddings and our sweet friend Colin Lyons has an impeccable editorial style. The food and luxe linens from Catered by Design were amazing. Seriously, I’m so honored to have been a part of this amazing day!
For the ceremony, we lined the aisle with candles and framed the couple with lush arrangements elevated by clear pedestals, to amplify the space. Seriously, the crystal backdrop by Art of Imagination is to die for!
For the reception, Meg really wanted classic and clean lines so we made sure the centerpieces were layers of luxe elements. Silver footed compote, filled with hydrangeas, surrounded by layers of candlelight and balanced by a mirrored table number. To enhance the decor, and stay within the theme, Meg’s mom even made these stunning runners with beautiful embroidery, which were incorporated into the table designs. The sweetheart table, which only seats the couple, was framed by the bridesmaid bouquets and layers of candlelight.
Thank you to Meaghan and Josh for having us “floralize” your beautiful day. It truly is an honor to have worked with such an amazing couple. Wishing you a million years of happiness!
