Today, let’s share a secret gem in the city, with a taste of inspiration. April, of Lady Luka Events, the planner, and our fearless leader, based the style board off of the movie, Water for Elephants. The location and architecture of the space really emphasized the vibe. Drumbar is a cocktail-focused rooftop bar atop the Raffaello Hotel. It’s a moody, yet energetic space that has in an intimate lounge area and a beautiful outdoor terrace with views of Lake Michigan. The rooftop truly showcases the architectural beauty of Chicago, which we softened with candlelight, candelabras, and custom florals. We lined the hallway nearby with candles and florals to keep attention on the natural light and gorgeous floor.
Maximizing the beauty of the outdoor terrace, we created an arch that helped define the ceremony space and to create a pathway for the bride. All of the cocktail tables and the outdoor space were accented with petite florals and candle collections. We blended the design into the lounge area by accenting the tall windows, which deserved unique elevated florals, as an accent to the soft leather and modern furniture.
Our bride was a beauty, and the floral she carried was a perfect match to her glamorous beauty. The bridal bouquet was a stunner of luscious peonies, garden roses, blooming branches, and arching greens. Natural beauty for a naturally beautiful bride.
We were so lucky to work with so many amazing vendors that provided dramatic draping, exquisite chandeliers, vintage china, beautiful bites, and calligraphed details!
