We can’t post this wedding without first gushing about the photos. THESE. PHOTOS. How incredible is Danielle Heinson’s work?! Those golden hour portraits are what fairytale dreams are made of. The Cog Hill area has so many incredible wooded areas to take stunning portraits in, and they found all of them!
We loved working with Caitlin, we really blended modern with traditional and it was such fun to play with and the best process.
Caitlin’s dress was an absolute dream. Blush and lace paired with her white bouquet and lush greenery? Yes please! We created a hand-tied, unstructured design of spring’s finest white blooms, lush peonies, elegant roses, exquisite ranunculus, and touches of blooming branches in a bed of loose greenery with exposed stems.
This couple has impeccable style – from her blush lace gown to his blue suit and velvet bow tie. Also, the sunglasses he wore have significant meaning as well! They were his dad’s, and now that he’s adopted them, they always take pictures of Caitlin in the reflection whenever they go places. And aren’t those two little girls the most adorable flower girls? Their crowns and their curls are too much!
We designed 4 centerpiece styles for Caitlin and Jeff’s reception. They really let me go all out with my ideas! Caitlin wanted to incorporate garland, so we created a suspended 8-foot design entwined with olive branches. Below the garland, we added warmth and texture with a collection of candles to really ramp up the romance and allow the eucalyptus scent to infuse the room. It was the perfect mix of simple and modern. We also had a lush ring of garland made up of eucalyptus and centered by a scroll candelabra and tapered candles. This helped to add height to the space and maximize the old world charm of the venue. The third style was a low and lush design of coordinating wedding blooms in a mahogany box to complement the natural wood elements of Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. The romantic atmosphere of the space was emphasized by candlelight and each table utilized our gold acrylic table numbers.
While we love a tasty wedding cake as much as the next wedding pro, we love unique foods, too and we love that they had a sweet cookie bar!
Thank you to Caitlin and Jeff for having us “floralize” your beautiful day. It truly is an honor to have worked with such an amazing couple. Wishing you a million years of happiness!
