Blush, creams, and silver metallics mixed with classic blooms and romantic candlelight made for the perfect wedding day at Hotel Arista. Monique and Ryan met on New Year’s Eve but didn’t begin dating until months later. Ryan popped the question on a cliff overlooking the water! How picturesque is that?! This sweet pair loves traveling together, trying new cuisines, spending time outdoors, and loving on their pup.
Monique and Ryan wanted an elegant day filled with soft and simple classics. Hotel Arista gave them the city feel they wanted with the simple touches they craved.
First, I have to talk about this wedding gown before I burst! Monique went with this stunning amethyst dress! I was over the moon when she surprised me with this! So beautiful in every detail, and it was perfection on her. So, of course, we created her bouquet around this dress! We went with a loose, organic “garden-like” style embraced by elegant greenery creating a touch of asymmetry. Luxurious blooms of roses, dahlias, ranunculus, and jasmine. I still get goosebumps!
Her sister was her Maid of Honor and we made sure her blooms shined by giving her a petite version of Monique’s bouquet. And Ryan was so dapper in his suit! A perfect boutonniere completed his look.
For the ceremony we really maximized the space. Elegant Event Lighting created a beautiful canopy and backdrop and we created two enhancements to frame out the couple. We softened the runner along the length of the aisle with rose petals and candles. At the entry of the ceremony, guests were greeted with lush designs elevated by pedestals. The escort card table was a special design, also enhanced by draping. We incorporated candles and custom floral initials. Being that the table was already marble, the decor was a perfect balance to introduce guests to the reception.
Monique and Ryan had a sweetheart table instead of a head table, which was perfectly enhanced by two large designs framing them. The centerpieces were garden-like and composed of hydrangeas, roses, stock, dusty miller, and luxe foliage and were surrounded by the romance of candlelight. We also enhanced the beautiful DeEtta’s Bakery cake with a few focal blooms. They went for the classic entertainment, with the addition of a mentalist to keep guests intrigued. You may be wondering “how do mentalists work?” but we won’t let you in on the secret. Having this unique twist went down really well with guests, and it certainly made the event one to remember. The night was then danced away on a gorgeous, white dance floor.
Thank you to Monique and Ryan for having us “floralize” your beautiful day. It truly is an honor to have worked with such an amazing couple. Wishing you a million years of happiness!
