Even at 10 below zero, a Christmastime Wedding in Chicago is magical. We loved working with Jenny and Ryan to bring their navy and burgundy gilded wedding with statement blooms and seasonal elements to life. Creating a classic floral look with pops of color atop ivory linens really brought the romance and vintage edge of their design to life. Jenny and Ryan met at the University of Iowa 10 years ago and got engaged at Starved Rock!
Jenny carried a lush, “emphasized”, hand-tied bouquet composed of a beautiful blend of blush to burgundy tones, accented with berries, and natural elements of pinecones, framed by varieties of elegant greenery. Composed of peonies/amaryllis, roses, miniature garden roses, scabiosa, privet berries, natural and gilded pinecones, cedar, eucalyptus varieties, acacia, and hedera. Her bridesmaids carried similar bouquets, but with accents of navy and gold, which looked so elegant against their dresses in shades of burgundy.
For their Escort Card Table, we enhanced the provided “shutters” and used lanterns, a touch of greenery, a sprinkle of pinecones, and copper twinkle lights. The Head Table repurposed and highlighted the beauty of the bouquets along the length of the table as well as showcasing an assortment of natural and gilded pinecones.
Jenny provided gold lanterns for some of the guest table centerpieces, which we enhanced with a crescent-shaped floral cluster of coordinating wedding blooms. Style number 2 was a tall “scroll” candelabra with five clear candle holders filled with event tea lights, enhanced with an intentionally placed, “off-center” design of coordinating wedding blooms. Style number 3 was a trio of cylinders* filled with pillar candles and softened with strategically placed greenery.
Thank you to Jenny and Ryan for having us “floralize” your beautiful day. It truly is an honor to have worked with such an amazing couple. Wishing you a million years of happiness!
XOXO
