This dreamy July day was full of love, picturesque moments, and the lushest florals we could have asked for. Dayna and Jonathan’s day was the perfect combination of classic and modern romance in a timeless black tie affair, softened by toffee tones, butter yellow and cream florals. The tasteful details of candelabras added height and a luxe factor, especially when softened by an elegant touch of greenery and seasonal blooms.
So many favorite moments from the first meeting with Dayna and her mom to the amazing wedding day! One of my many favorite moments was how we quickly built up her design and created a magical summer dream! From the soft classic tones cream and beige, with yummy tones of caramel and toffee. Romantic and textural foliages and elegant gold details. I knew this wedding was going to be “creme de la creme”, which IS a rose we used in this design as well!
Dayna’s bridal bouquet was a lush, gardenesque bouquet of effortlessly blended tones of toffee, butter yellow, softest peach, creams, and nudes, embraced by elegant greens. Composed of romantic blooms such as garden roses, dahlias, ranunculus, lisianthus, and seasonal beauties. Yes, it truly was magical. We finished the bouquet to keep a relaxed look and complement her stunning Enzoani bridal gown, the finishing touch was adding luxurious silk ribbons cascading down.
Her bridesmaids, clad in various Bella’s Bridesmaids styles of hunter green carried clutch bouquets similar to Dayna’s. Emphasizing the blend of butter yellow to toffee tones and embraced by greenery. The couple’s sweet flower girl carried a miniature bouquet and wore florals in her hair. Both mothers wore wrist corsages of coordinating wedding blooms atop crystal bracelets.
Their reception at Union League of Chicago was an absolute dream to design for. That gorgeous blue space can be tricky, but not when you use a professional that can complement your color palette and florals! For their King’s Table, which is a modern version of a head table, we chose two tall candelabras filled with event tealights and enhanced with greenery balancing the table and framing the couple. We also repurposing the beauty of the bouquets along the length of the table. Placed greenery, layered along the table, created a runner effect enhanced with candle collections. Absolutely dreamy!
This couple had a relatively large guest count so we utilized three different styles of centerpieces. The first was a tall, gold candelabra filled with event tealights and enhanced by trailing greenery. Along the base of the design, a trio of pillar candles and layers of luxe gold mercury and elegant cut glass votive candleholders. The second design was a lush, tall, gardenesque design of coordinating wedding blooms, elevated by a 24″ gold stand. The design was free-flowing with vines dancing toward the table. Adding warmth and romance to the base of the design, were layers of luxe gold mercury and elegant cut glass votive candle holders. The final design was a small/medium gold vase filled with a lush, gardenesque design of coordinating wedding blooms and balanced by a duo of pillar candles. Like the rest of the designs it was surrounded with candles. Each table also included one of our elegant matte gold table numbers.
The gorgeous cake from Bittersweet had our florals gracing it and was surrounded by layers of candles and greenery enhancing the table.
Thank you to Dayna and Jonathan for having us “floralize” your beautiful day. It truly is an honor to have worked with such an amazing couple. Wishing you a million years of happiness!
